HORMUZ SOFTENS, BUT OIL STILL WATCHES $USO 🌊
Iran said it is not responsible for the surge in fuel and Gulf shipping costs, and stated it is managing passage for non-enemy vessels through the Strait of Hormuz. Several vessels have already transited after coordinating with Iranian authorities, which eases near-term disruption risk but keeps freight and crude pricing highly sensitive.
I like this setup because the market reacts first to corridor risk, not diplomacy. Any fresh friction in Hormuz can hit energy flows fast, and that is exactly where whales lean in.
Not financial advice. Manage your risk.
